Kesaribath or Sooji Halwa is a sweet dish made with ghee, cashew and elaichi.

Rice vermicelli is locally known as Shavige bath. It has a lemony taste to it. It’s made with rice vermicelli, dal, green chillies, lemon, mustard, turmeric, ginger and curry leaves.

Rava Pongal is made with Semolina and dal cooked with cumin, pepper, green chillies, ginger, curry leaves and turmeric.

 
How to cook these authentic dishes?
Rava Upma – Add 2 measures of water to 1 measure of Upma mix, cook on low flame or microwave for 4 minutes, mix well and serve hot.

Kesaribath - Add 1 measure of water to 1 measure of Kesaribath mix, cook on low flame or microwave for 4 minutes, mix well and serve hot.

Rice Shavige bath - Add 1 measure of water to 1 measure of Shavige bath mix, cook on medium flame or microwave for 5 minutes, mix well and serve hot.

Rava Pongal - Add 3.5 measures of water to 1 measure of Rava Pongal mix, cook on medium flame or microwave for 6 minutes, mix well and serve hot.
